Service Description

This is the ideal course for the new gun owner or those interested in learning to shoot. This introductory level course provides the student with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle, load, fire, & unload common types of pistols. Time is spent both in the classroom and on the firing range in a comfortable learning environment. Upon Completion You Will: Recognize how to secure, store, & childproof firearms. Recognize how to safely handle, store, maintain, & select ammunition. Identify the basic laws & reliable resources relating to the purchase, possession, transportation, storage & carry of firearms and ammunition. Summarize the cycle of operations of a semi-automatic pistol. Demonstrate the safe use & handling of firearms. Demonstrate how to properly load & unload handguns. Apply shooting fundamentals to fire a semi-automatic pistol safely & successfully. Demonstrate how to clean & lubricate a semi-automatic pistol. Demonstrate how to properly function check a semi-automatic pistol. What to Bring Government-issued photo ID Notebook and pen Comfortable clothing appropriate for range conditions Your preferred firearm Ammunition ( at least 100 rounds ) *Firearms & Ammunition are available for rental* What to Expect From the Day Classroom instruction combined with practical learning A safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment Clear explanations with time for questions Emphasis on confidence, competence, and responsibility


Cancellation Policy

Payment & Deposits Non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. Final payment is due day of class. All sales are final. Rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Civilian Ordnance if notified at least 72 hours in advance. Cancellations & No-Shows No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to class. No-shows forfeit all payments.
